Design in the border - main conference

Main goal of this conference is to widen the awareness of design, showcase the creative process of well-known designers, and provide an environment for open discussion and sharing of ideas. The conference was a brilliant opportunity for me to know other areas where design in creating products and processes is used.

This year's conference covered the topics of digital, product, and motion design. Specifically czech and international speakers talked about AI, no-code, animation. There was a great opportunity and space for discussion, idea sharing among designers, students of design, and other design creators.

This informal event was fully organized by students of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications of University of Tomas Bata in Zlín and offered usefull insight into a wide range of design industries.  

Speakers I met in conference:

Miquel Muntaner and Maria del Pilar Rovira Serrano - proffesors in multimedua at Design school in Palma Miquel and Maria bring after a week long cooperation with Zlín students of Multimedia final works of film stories made from scratch by AI - scripts, video and music including lyrics, incredible.

Mike Derycke - Head of Training in Multimedia and Creative Technology at Erasmushogeschool Brussel
Mike has shown various multimedia projects made with his students in Belgium. He introduced and discussed very clearly actual challenges in AI and practical use step by step to avoid and chaining mistakes.

Safi Hefetz -Head Of Industrial Design Department at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design & cofounder at I2D strategic design consultancy
Safi showed several examples of industrial design and how different are procedures to prepare prototypes versus final wholesale production.

Jaroslav Dlask - self-interpreneur for high-end websites & brands for startups in No Code
This selfmademan showed us step by step how to easy use No Code technologies (especially Webflow) to make almost everything for web development and design. This was very usefull DYI wokshop. 

Ivan Floreš from Motion House - creative studio focused on animation, VFX, illustration and motion design
Interesting showcases of animation and business insights what customers demands actually and how they handle with that in creative studio. They also use AI in daily operation to make routine tasks easier and safe time for the creative work.
